The Teen Bible Study will look at "the classics". Not music or cars, but parts of the Bible.
We will look at some of the well-known, favorite parts of the Bible and see what they say and
mean to you. Kids, This is a good chance to keep up with one another and keep growing in God's Word!
Sunday Morning Bible Study (and Coffee Club)
While the kids or grandkids are in Sunday School, plan on joining the Sunday morning Bible Study.
We will start with a course entitle "Catholicism Today,"- taking a look at the teaching and practices
of today's Roman Catholic Church, noting changes and things that have not changed and comparing it to
our Lutheran Church and what the Bible says. This class will be helpful in being able to understand
your Catholic friends and neighbors and know what they believe and think. Plan to come. Coffee, etc
will be available.
Monday Morning Walnut Bible Study
Our Monday morning Bible Study meets in the family room of the Walnut Apartments (8830 Walnut Place) in
Rockford. We will be studying the book of Acts, Chapters Everyone who invited to attend. We meet at 9:30 am.
Everyone is invited to attend!
Home Bible Study
Starting this fall, we will be having a Home Bible Study, to be held once a month in the home of those who volunteer
to host. Sign up to volunteer to host a session. (You can volunteer to host more than one session) All you have to
do is be the host. The pastor will teach the class. For more information, speak to the pastor.
About the Course: Marriage is Like Dancing is not about fixing bad marriages but how to support good marriages.
Just as knowing how to lead and follow is essential in ballroom dancing, the same is true in marriage. Marriage
is not what we make choose to make it, but what God has made it to be. This course deals with how marriage thrives
when spiritual love as well as human love is present between a husband and wife.
