Evangelism
Our congregation will again have a display at the Rockford Expo on Saturday, April 5, 9 am to 1 pm. We will be looking for ideas and volunteers for the booth. We will meet on April 3 at 6:30 pm to iron out the details off setting up, etc.

Worship
The Western Accents, a touring choir from West Lutheran High School, will sing in the Sunday, April 6 worship service. While Ascension Day is officially May 1 (40 days after Easter), we will observe it in the April 30 Wednesday service.

Congregation Meeting
The April Congregation Meeting will be held on Sunday, April 20 at about 10:30 am (following the morning worship service). Sunday School will still meet on that day.

Youth Under Christ will serve a Spaghetti Dinner following the meeting in the church basement fellowship hall following the meeting. The menu will include spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, garlic bread and ice cream for desert. (A free will offering will be taken, with proceeds going to the "special music fund" (see article on worship).

Church Cleaning
Church Cleaning has been scheduled for Saturday, April 19, starting at 9:00 am. We hope to give the whole church a good old fashion, top to bottom spring cleaning. Please come and give a few hours of your time to help spruce up YOUR church. A check list will be posted of things to be done, especially helpful for those who want to help but can't be there on April 19. (A separate date for a church Arbor Day, will be set later in the spring.)

Special Music Fund
NOTE TO CROSS MEMBERS: The Church Council has decided to devote some of the funds in the "special music fund" to help subsidize those involved in music and planning worship in our congregation who would like to attend this workshop, including organist, choir directors, music and worship planners, as well as any other members who might be interested.
